TAA funds are available to assist with relocation costs if an employment offer is secured in an area outside of the worker’s local commute. Applications for relocation funds must be submitted and approved prior to incurring expenses.
Relocation funding includes, based on the petition number and related law changes:
- 90-100% reimbursement of reasonable moving related expenses, and,
- A lump sum payment up to $1,250 or $1,500
This funding is only available if there is no reasonable expectation that the worker will find suitable employment in their present location.
